Our Programs

  • GR2IT’s SEL lessons fit easily into a once weekly advisory/homeroom/study hall period. Each lesson is approximately 10-15 minutes. Lessons include an outline, important teaching notes or lecture slides, classroom applications, and additional resources for instructor and student. This curriculum is modifiable by the instructor and easily loaded onto an online platform, such as Google Classroom, Canvas, or other learning platforms.

Although envisioned as a once weekly curriculum, schools or teachers may choose to increase or alter instructional frequency.

We do ask that instructors have students complete the intake and exit surveys. This data helps us determine what works best and why, as well as evaluate when curriculum changes are needed and to provide teachers and students with the most up to date research, results, methods, and activities.

Although the classroom teacher is typically the instructor for the SEL component, this may vary by school and school need. Some schools may employ the school resource officer, an administrator, school counselor, or guidance counselor to teach the GR2IT curriculum.

The physical education teacher is typically the instructor for the add-on physical component of GR2IT. However, this may vary by school and school need.

If a school chooses the GR2IT Community option, they may determine the extent and involvement of the school resource officer (SRO) that best suits the unique needs of their school. Many schools may choose to have the SRO teach or team teach parts of or entire lessons of the SEL curriculum and/or the physical component add-on.

The physical component add-ons vary in length and can easily fit within most school P.E. periods. Many of these lessons are short and can either be repeated or added on to a previously scheduled or unaffiliated P.E. lesson. The lessons provide simple cues to reinforce and practice the GR2IT SEL principles.

No individual or school will instruct a GR2IT lesson or GR2IT curriculum without a current school license to do so.
